THE PROGRAM
     This camp is specifically designed for players
                                                   who want to learn the fundamental skills of soccer.                                                             Emphasis  on correct technique is maximized by                                                                   individual instruction. The learning environment will
                                                   be enhanced  by small-sided games, providing more                                                              touches on the ball. The newest teaching and coaching                                                        presented in a clear and concise manner. The fun filled                                                       days are fully supervised and certified trainer will be                                                        on duty.

                        THE FACILITIES
                                            The Duke Soccer Day Camp is located on the                                                               beautiful  West Campus of Duke University.  Both grass                                                       and astroturf fields will be available, as well as ample    bathrooms and indoor space for shelter from severe weather.

TO APPLY:
    To secure a place in camp, please fill out the application (Day Camp Application) and send it to Duke Soccer Day Camp, Box 99037, Durham N C 27708-9037 along with a check for the tuition.You may also register by credit card online.  After we receive your application, we will e-mail you a confirmation notice. A health/insurance form WHICH REQUIRES A DOCTOR'S RELEASE, certifying that your child is able to participate in all aspects of Soccer Camp is required. For this reason, a camper must apply BEFORE the first day of camp. Also, we ask that you return the health form to us in advance of camp: handing them in on the first day of camp creates excessive delays at registration.

CANCELLATIONS:
Full payment is required with application. If your child is accepted to camp and cannot attend for any reason, including illness or injury, $75 of the tuition will be non-refundable. In addition, if your child cancels his/her camp reservation, and you fail to notify us in advance of the 1st day of camp, no money will be refunded.

DROP OFF:
    The camp program starts at 9:00 a.m., and all campers should arrive by 9:00a.m. at the latest. A staff member will be on duty at 8:30 a.m. to supervise campers until the program starts at  9:00 a.m.

PICK UP:
    All campers will be picked up on the field and must be signed out by the person picking them up.  If a camper will be picked up by someone other than a parent, we must have a note to that effect.  Half-day campers should be picked up at 12:00 noon. Full-day campers should be picked up at 5:00 p.m. If a half day  camper is not picked up by 12:10 p.m., or if a full day camper is not picked up by 4:10pm,  a late fee of $1.00 per minute will be charged.  An Extended Day Option is available from 4-5pm for a cost of $30.
 
LUNCHES:
    Full Day Campers will be responsible for bringing their lunches Monday through Friday. There will be coolers provided for full day campers' lunches.
   
EQUIPMENT NEEDED:
-Shinguards
-Soccer shoes or sneakers (either are fine for both grass and astroturf        surfaces)
-Soccer ball with name clearly marked on it
-Snack (for mid-morning break) 
       -Sunscreen
       -Water bottle (optional)--Water and cups will be provided
       -Lunch (full day campers only)
       -Swimsuit and towel (Full Day campers only)
-Rain jacket and change of clothes if rain is forecast (We will play rain or           shine, and only take shelter in case of lightning)

April week campers: If cold weather is predicted, send sweatshirts and sweatpants. We will not go inside because of cold weather.
